Our workshop

Made by hand
in İskele.

Two production lines under one roof: an upholstery shop for sofas, beds and seating, and a joinery shop for kitchens, wardrobes and built-in furniture. Every piece is made to the drawing, for one room.

Soft furniture

Sofas, armchairs, beds and headboards, built from the frame up.

Every piece starts as a drawing sized to your room, not a catalogue model. You choose the shape, the comfort and the fabric. We build it by hand, layer by layer, in eight steps.

  1. A dimensioned sofa drawing with fabric samples01/ 08

    Design & sizing

We draw the piece to your room: overall size, seat height and depth, arm shape and cushion style. You approve a drawing with every dimension before anything is cut.

    • Dimensioned drawing
    • Comfort level agreed
    • Fabric samples to choose from
  2. A timber sofa frame being assembled02/ 08

    Frame

The frame is cut from solid timber and plywood, then glued and screwed together so it stays rigid for years of daily use.

    • Solid timber and plywood
    • Glued and screwed joints
    • Corner blocks where loads meet
  3. Elastic webbing and springs across a sofa seat frame03/ 08

    Suspension

Springs or elastic webbing are stretched across the seat and back. This layer decides how the seat feels after years, not just on the first day.

    • Zig-zag springs or webbing
    • Tension set by hand
    • Matched to the seat depth
  4. Foam cut in layers of different density with a fibre wrap04/ 08

    Foam & padding

Foam is cut in layers of different density, firm at the base and softer on top, then wrapped in fibre so cushions keep their shape.

    • Layered densities
    • Fibre wrap for a soft top
    • Cut to the drawing
  5. Fabric roll, cut pattern pieces and a sewing machine05/ 08

    Cutting & sewing

The fabric is cut from patterns, with stripes and textures matched across seams, then sewn with piping and zips where the design calls for them.

    • Patterns cut per piece
    • Matched seams
    • Piping and zips
  6. A sofa half covered in fabric, with a staple gun06/ 08

    Upholstery

The cover is pulled over the padding and fixed by hand, corner by corner, until every line is straight and every panel is tight.

    • Fitted by hand
    • Even tension on every panel
    • Clean corners and edges
  7. A finished cream sofa with pillows, checked and ready07/ 08

    Finishing & check

Legs, cushions and pillows go on. We check stitching, symmetry and comfort, then wrap the piece for the road.

    • Legs and glides fitted
    • Stitching and symmetry checked
    • Wrapped for transport

Carpentry

Kitchens, wardrobes, TV walls and built-in furniture, made to the millimetre.

One board standard, one hardware standard and a cutting list for every part. From the first measurement to the last adjusted door, this is how a kitchen or wardrobe is made.

  1. A wall measured for a kitchen run, with a tape measure01/ 08

    Measure & design

We measure every wall, pipe and socket on site, then design the run in 3D with each door, drawer and appliance in place.

    • Site measurement
    • 3D design and renders
    • Appliances planned in
  2. Parts nested on an MDF sheet next to the cutting list02/ 08

    Cutting list

Our Constructor turns the design into parts: the size, board, edging and hardware of every panel, nested on full sheets to keep waste low.

    • Every part listed
    • Nested on 2800 × 2100 sheets
    • Edging and hardware per part
  3. An MDF sheet cut to size on the saw03/ 08

    Panel cutting

Sheets of 18 mm AGT MDF are cut to the list, part by part, with the saw kerf allowed for so every size comes out exact.

    • 18 mm AGT MDF
    • Cut to the millimetre
    • Parts labelled as they come off
  4. An edge band being pressed onto an MDF panel edge04/ 08

    Edge banding

Visible edges are banded in PVC or ABS, from 0.8 to 2 mm depending on how the part is used, then trimmed and cleaned.

    • PVC or ABS banding
    • 0.8, 1 or 2 mm
    • Trimmed and cleaned
  5. Hinge holes, shelf pin rows and a back groove drilled into a panel05/ 08

    Drilling & grooving

Holes for hinges, shelf pins and connectors are drilled, and a groove is cut for the back panel so the carcass stays square.

    • Hinge cups and shelf pins
    • Grooved-in back panels
    • 8 mm MDF or 3 mm HDF backs
  6. A cabinet assembled with soft-close hinges and a drawer06/ 08

    Assembly & hardware

Carcasses are assembled square and fitted with soft-close hinges, full-extension runners, drawer systems and handle profiles.

    • SAMET soft-close, Blum on request
    • FlowBox or AlphaBox drawers
    • Push-to-open or handleless
  7. Finished units wrapped in film and labelled07/ 08

    Check & wrap

Doors are aligned and every drawer tested. Each unit is labelled for its place in the room and wrapped for transport.

    • Doors aligned
    • Drawers tested
    • Labelled by position
  8. A finished kitchen installed and levelled on site08/ 08

    Installation

Our team installs, levels and fixes the units, fits the worktop and adjusts every door on site before handover.

    • Levelled and fixed
    • Worktops fitted
    • Final adjustment on site

Architecture, interiors
& drawings

One studio for the building, the rooms and the drawings.

Whether it is a villa, a café or a single kitchen, design follows the same five steps: from a scan of the real space to drawings a workshop can build from.

  1. A room scanned from a tripod, with measured points along the walls01/ 05

    Survey & scan

We measure every wall, opening and level on site and scan the space, so the model starts from the real room rather than an old plan.

    • Measured survey
    • 3D scan of the space
    • Photos of every wall
  2. A room modelled in 3D with walls and furniture02/ 05

    3D modelling

The building or room is modelled in 3D: walls, openings, joinery, furniture and lighting, all to real dimensions.

    • SketchUp and 3ds Max
    • Real dimensions
    • Joinery modelled in detail
  3. A photoreal render of a living room03/ 05

    Renders

Each room is rendered in real light with real materials, so you approve exactly what will be built and change it before it costs anything.

    • Corona and V-Ray
    • Real materials from our library
    • Revisions included
  4. A floor plan with dimensions, a section and a title block04/ 05

    Technical drawings

Plans, sections, elevations and joinery details, dimensioned and annotated with materials, ready for a workshop or a contractor.

    • AutoCAD drawing sets
    • Joinery and cutting details
    • Material schedules
  5. An approved drawing set with a stamp05/ 05

    Approval & handover

For buildings, we prepare the planning set. For interiors, the drawings go straight to our workshop or to your contractor.

Build & finish

From empty shell
to finished space.

When the job is bigger than one room or one piece of furniture, we take on the whole thing, with the same studio and the same workshop behind it.
